Portswood Rec is owned and managed by Southampton City Council (SCC) through their Parks department.  This includes fixtures such as benches and play equipment. FOPR work closely with SCC to help address issues that we've spotted or reported by members of the public. If you have immediate concerns, for example about vandalism, it's best to also get in touch with SCC direct, as resolving these issues are outside our remit.  To report antisocial behaviour, call 111.

Play areas are inspected based on the type of equipment they have. Most are looked at daily and any defects are reported. If you find a defective or broken piece of play equipment you can report it by calling 023 8083 3007, or  contact the Parks team through their online form.
