How to find us

There are three entrances to Portswood Rec:

• The far end of Brickfield Road where there are both steps and a ramp
• Halfway along Kitchener Road (satnav SO17 3SG) on the right as you go downhill
• The far end of Upper Grosvenor Road (satnav SO17 1WZ), just past Portswood Primary School.  (For fans of What3Words, this location is chose.relax.lamp.)

Coming by public transport?  For bus routes 2 and U6, hop off at Sirdar Road. For the U1 service, use the Upper Shaftesbury Avenue stop. Other services pass through Portswood itself, less than 10 minutes' walk away, while St Denys train station is just a little further.

If you're driving, most roads nearby have residents' parking with a 2-hour limit on weekdays. When approaching by Brickfield Road, bear in mind that that the final section, after Somerset Road, is a cul-de-sac with restricted turning space.
