14 Dec 24 - Annual Autum Park Tidy (change of date)

Winter is coming and most of the leaves have fallen.  Many people continue to visit the Rec through the colder months.  It's a great reassurance to our visitors to know that our paths are clear of mud, leaves, overhanging brambles and sometimes fallen branches.

Previous mass tidy-ups have been very effective, and great fun too!

Due to Storm Darragh, we had to postpone the session initially set for 7 December.

Do please join us on the new date of Saturday 14 December, any time between 10.30 - 1pm. Meet by the flagpole near the Upper Grosvenor Road entrance.   You definitely don't need to have green fingers, though stout gloves and sensible footwear are recommended.

17 Nov 24 - Crocus planting with help from the Scouts

Southampton Rotary have once again kindly donated purple crocus bulbs as part of their  Purple4Polio campaign, to end childhood polio worldwide.  On 17 November, youngsters from the 29th Portswood Immaculata Scouts, with their scout leader Russ Andrews, gave up their Sunday morning to plant no less than 750 bulbs.  Watch out for the shoots next spring! Very many thanks to all concerned.
